Since gradutating from Birmingham Conservatoire in 1998 with a 1st class degree, ReedBass has been active as a session musician, performing and recording with countless artists across a wide range of genres. His openess to music, no matter what style, has gained him a reputation for being a very versatile bassist. This versatility and his ability to adapt to any situation he is hired for has made Reed one of the Midlands' "must-call" musicians.
As well as his session work, Reed vast network of musicians has is also a session fixer, providing professional musicians, a backing band, horn section, string quartet or Gospel Choir for any particular project or touring artists.
With his vast experience in working with bands and his role as arranger and session fixer, Reed is often called to act as musical director for the various projects he works on. From organising and booking the rehearsals to helping the artist devise their show, Reed is on hand to make sure things go as smoothly as possible.
Reed's musiciality, professionalism and love of groove music has kept him busy since becoming a full-time and has allowed him to work with many great acts on the local scene, as well as national and international artists.
With access to a number of studios in Birmingham, Reed can book reording sessions for an artist to suit any budget. He also offers a remote recording service, for those who need live bass on their tracks but may not have the budget to hire a studio and engineer for their project.
